1. Data We Collect

When you use Mockup Stage, we collect the following information:

  • Account data: Name, email address, and a hashed password.
  • Usage data: Website URLs you submit for mockup generation and your generation history.
  • Payment data: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Technical data: IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the mockup generation service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
  • To send password reset emails when requested.
  • To display approved free-tier mockups in our public gallery (with watermark).

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: For payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Gemini API: For AI image generation. Website screenshots are sent to Google's API for mockup generation.
  • thum.io: For capturing website screenshots in production.
  • Neon: For database hosting (PostgreSQL).
  • Vercel: For application hosting.

4. Cookies

We use essential session cookies for authentication (via NextAuth). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

5. Data Retention

Generated mockup images are stored for as long as your account is active. Temporary screenshot data is deleted immediately after mockup generation. You can delete individual mockups from your gallery at any time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your mockups from the dashboard at any time. To request full account deletion or data export, contact us at mockupstage@soren-starck.com.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption, CSRF protection, and rate limiting. However, no system is 100% secure.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the Service.
